Hello, I'm Alison. You may feel as if things are impossible right now, or overwhelming. You may have been struggling for a long time with no one to talk to. Whatever's happening for you, I'm here to help you work through it.
A non-judgemental, empathetic space that supports you in finding a way forward that is right for you.
Simply a place to talk in absolute confidence — or, if it helps, working together with pictures, toys, drawing or writing.
As well as listening, I can help you find strategies to live life more fully and feel at peace day to day.
I'm a qualified and registered person-centred counsellor, recognised by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Before counselling, I spent 15 years teaching Childhood and Education Studies. I know a great deal about how early life shapes our sense of identity — and how childhood can leave difficult emotions that continue into adult life. I understand how experiences are shaped by culture and family expectations.
I'm also a trained bereavement counsellor and regularly support people experiencing loss.
If you think I can help, send me a message to arrange a free 20 minute conversation — no commitment.
